Gernot Kostera Award

These prestigious biathlon awards are named after the late Gernot Kostera, an avid supporter of biathlon and a former President of the Alberta Biathlon Club. Gernot passed away in 2007 but left a legacy behind in the form of his charitable foundation that supports these awards. Since 2008 the Gernot Kostera Award is given annually to one male and one female aged 12-14. The award amount is $1000 per recipient. In addition, the Gernot Kostera Summer Camp Awards are given to one male and one female in the same age range. The Camp award is a free registration to the annual ABC summer camp. It is not a cash award and is not transferable.
2025 Awards
Applicants must be residents of Alberta and between twelve and fourteen years of age on March 1 2025. Applications are to be scanned into .pdf format and e-mailed with the subject line "ABC Kostera Award" to ABC at: info@albertabiathlonclub.com no later than midnight February 26, 2025
